We buy stones from the mines, and our talented designers and goldsmiths make our jewelry ourselves. Therefore by buying from us, you cut out many intermediaries.

Usually, gem dealer buys from mines and sells rough stones to the cutter. Then cutter sells polished stones to the jewelry manufacturer, who sells the jewelry to a jewelry store. And finally jewelry store adds their own mark up to cover the overhead and gain profit.

Each of them add their profit to the final price. The price is four times higher if you count the markup of gem dealers, manufacturers, etc. I personally saw our ring sold four times higher than the price they paid to us in the LA store just one week ago.

When a well-established jewelry store needs high-end alexandrite jewelry, they call us. They buy from us, make the price tag few times higher, and sell to consumers.

We offer a complimentary six-month warranty against manufacture defects on all of our jewelry for your peace of mind. The warranty covers defects and damage to the metal or stone during the manufacturing process. If you have an issue with your jewelry, we ask you to write to us and deliver it back within 30 days. It is the responsibility of the buyer to post the ring back and ensure that it is delivered to us.

If the defect is covered by a warranty, we will repair or replace the jewelry free of charge.

Repair or service performed by a jeweler other than The Alexandrite will void the warranty. Normal wear, activities, or trauma can affect all fine jewelry. This is especially true for rings since hands are actively used and subject to daily pressure. Our manufacturing warranty excludes coverage for wear and tear, accidental damage, loss of gemstones, damaged gemstones, product loss, or theft.

We hire a professional photographer to take a high resolution pictures to show the jewelry piece as it is seen by the human eye in a normal daylight. Unlike many other sellers we never photoshop the pictures to artificially enhance the quality.

The photographer takes many pictures in different angles so that you can see the item in all sides. We also provide the video to make it even more easier to see the piece in motion.

Jewelry and especially gemstone photography is extremely difficult. It requires a lot of talent and experience to show the jewelry exactly as it is seen by the human eye.

Such pictures are very expensive and any new pictures will incur the additional cost.
