Are Your Gemstones Certified By GIA To Be 100% Natural, Not Lab Created?

______________________________________________________________

Each of our gemstones is certified by GIA, the Gemological Institute of America, a renowned gemstone grading and identification authority. This certification confirms that our gemstones are high-quality and 100% natural, not lab-created. You can see the GIA certificate scan in the listings, and you will receive it with your piece free of charge ($120 value).

Verifying authenticity is simple. Copy and paste the GIA report number from the listing into the GIA website, and you will see exactly what you paid for — a high-quality, natural gemstone.

Here is the link for your convenience: https://www.gia.edu/report-check-landing. There you will see a color picture of the stone in your piece with a detailed description.

If you paste the phrase Certified Alexandrite Jewelry into a Google search, you will find us at the top of the first page in organic results — a position we earned without paying a penny for ads, recognizing our traffic, our clients’ purchases, and their testimonials.

Our gemstones are not only 100% earth-mined but truly exclusive. We buy rough stones directly from the mines and cut and polish them ourselves to reveal their character, and we guarantee that our alexandrites are never treated in any way.

Why are your prices lower than a traditional jeweler’s?

______________________________________________________________

The Alexandrite began with a single obsession: natural alexandrite, and the determination to bring it to you exactly as the earth made it. That obsession shapes everything we do, including what you pay.

We go to the source. We buy rough crystals directly from the mines, cut and polish each stone in our own workshop, and set it with our own goldsmiths. A traditional piece passes through a long chain of hands — the miner, the rough dealer, the cutter, the manufacturer, the wholesaler, and finally the store — and each adds a margin before it reaches you. By keeping the whole journey under one roof, from rough crystal to finished piece, we remove those layers, never the quality.

We are a house, not a showroom. Working directly with our clients online, without the cost of a retail floor, lets us put our attention — and our budget — into the stones themselves.

What we will never do is treat a stone or overstate it. Every alexandrite is natural, untreated, and GIA-certified, and it arrives with its report and independent appraisal, so its character is a matter of record rather than persuasion. Fine natural alexandrite is genuinely rare, and rarer each year as the old mines close — a piece chosen well becomes something to keep, and to pass on.

What Is Your Warranty Policy On Your Alexandrite Jewelry?

______________________________________________________________

Every piece we deliver carries a two-year warranty covering manufacturing defects in the metalwork and in the setting of the stones, together with complimentary resizing during that period. Warranty repairs are carried out at no charge; return shipping for a warranty repair is the client’s responsibility. The warranty does not cover accidental damage, misuse, ordinary wear, or natural wear to plating or finish, and any repair carried out by another jeweler will void it. If anything is ever wrong, write to us at care@thealexandrite.com and we will make it right.

Can You Resize Any Ring In Your Collection?

______________________________________________________________

Yes. We can resize any ring to the size you need. Our artisans resize the piece with care so its design and integrity are preserved — complimentary within the two-year warranty period. Simply tell us the size you need in the notes at checkout, or write to care@thealexandrite.com.

I Want To Buy A Matching Piece Of Jewelry To The One I Bought.

______________________________________________________________

If you don’t find the matching piece on our website, please send us the SKU number of the piece you have (it’s right above the price). We will email you to let you know how long it will take to make the matching piece for you.

______________________________________________________________

Are You Able To Email Additional Pictures?

______________________________________________________________

We work with a professional photographer to capture high-resolution pictures of each piece as the human eye sees it in normal daylight. We never retouch our photographs to artificially enhance a stone.

The photographer takes many pictures from different angles so you can see the piece from every side, and we also provide a video so you can see it in motion.

Gemstone photography is difficult, and it takes real skill to show a stone exactly as it appears in life. Additional bespoke photography can be arranged and may carry a small cost.

Do You Sell Loose Gemstones?

______________________________________________________________

Yes, we do. Please let us know the weight, clarity, color saturation, and color change you’re looking for, along with your price range, and we will email you a quote.
