Frequently Asked Questions
Are your gemstones certified by Gia to be 100% natural, not lab-created?
Each of our gemstones is certified. You can see the scanned GIA certificate in the listings. You will receive it with your piece free of charge($120 value).
You can also type the GIA report number you can see in the description of each item and check if it is genuine on the GIA website: https://www.gia.edu/report-check-landing.
There, you will see the color picture of our piece with a detailed description.
And if you paste the phrase Certified Alexandrite Jewelry in a Google search, you will see us on the top of the first page in organic search.
We did not pay a penny for ads to achieve this result.
The sophisticated Google Algorithm placed us in the top position in this category, organically recognizing traffic, visitor purchases, and positive testimonials.
We buy rough stones from the mines and cut and polish them ourselves. There is no chance that our gemstones are not 100% earth-mined.
We also guarantee that our Alexandrites were not treated in any way.

Why Your Prices Are So Low?
We buy stones from the mines, and our talented designers and goldsmiths make our jewelry ourselves. Therefore, by buying from us, you cut out many intermediaries.
Usually, gem dealers buy from mines and sell rough stones to the cutter. Then, the cutter sells polished stones to the jewelry manufacturer, who sells the jewelry to a jewelry store. And finally, jewelry store adds their markup to cover the overhead and gain profit.
Each of them adds their profit to the final price. The price is four times higher if you count the markup of gem dealers, manufacturers, etc.
When a well-established jewelry store needs high-end alexandrite jewelry, they call us. They buy from us, make the price tag a few times higher, and sell to consumers.
They find our prices below wholesale because, unlike them, our business is online, and we don't have to pay expensive store rent, staff salaries, health insurance, state taxes, etc. We pass all these savings to our clients.
Also, we are selling our items cheaply because the stones were from the last stock when prices were more or less reasonable. The prices went insane because the last alexandrite mine was closed a few months ago, plus huge inflation.
The mine has dried up, and there will be no more gem-quality large new stones in the market shortly. As soon as our stock runs out, we will be forced to increase the prices like everyone else is doing now.
Many wealthy people invest in precious stones and gold because they see how unprecedented trillions are being printed and flooded into the economy.
All the leading economists predict hyperinflation of prices and rapid devaluation of the US dollar. It has already started; the dollar has seriously devaluated in the last few months.
That is why they seek ways to save their wealth from the inevitable devaluation of the dollar by investing in things whose values will only increase. And increased demand always pushes prices higher, especially when too many dollars are chasing too few real gems.
That is why the piece you buy is also an excellent investment, as its price will increase tremendously in the coming years. It is worthy of becoming a family heirloom jewelry passed through the generations.
Do You Ship Worldwide?
Yes, we do.
Can I Pay In Small Instalments?
Absolutely; here is the link to our layaway program: https://thealexandrite.com/pages/layaway
You can also use the Affirm Buy Now Pay Later program. The link to Affirm is next to the price.
What Is Your Warranty Policy On Your Alexandrite Rings?
We offer a complimentary six-month warranty against manufacture defects on all of our jewelry for your peace of mind. The warranty covers defects and damage to the metal or stone during manufacturing. If you have an issue with your jewelry, we ask you to write to us and deliver it back to us within 30 days. The buyer is responsible for returning the ring and ensuring it is delivered to us.
If the defect is covered by a warranty, we will repair or replace the jewelry free of charge.
Repair or service performed by a jeweler other than The Alexandrite will void the warranty. Normal wear, activities, or trauma can affect all fine jewelry. This is especially true for rings since hands are actively used and subject to daily pressure. Our manufacturing warranty excludes coverage for wear and tear, accidental damage, loss of gemstones, damaged gemstones, product loss, or theft.
Can You Resize Any Ring In Your Collection?
Yes, we can easily resize any ring to any size you need for a small charge.
Please let us know what size you need in the comments section during checkout.
I Want To Buy A Matching Piece Of Jewelry To The One I Bought.
If you don't find the matching piece on our website, please type the SKU number of the piece here (you can find it right above the price). We will email you to let you know how long it will take to make the matching piece for you.
Are you able to email additional pictures?
We hire a professional photographer to take high-resolution pictures to show the jewelry piece as it is seen by the human eye in normal daylight. Unlike many other sellers, we never photoshop the images to artificially enhance the quality.
The photographer takes many pictures from different angles so that you can see the item on all sides. We also provide the video to make seeing the piece in motion even easier.
Jewelry, and especially gemstone photography, is extremely difficult. It requires a lot of talent and experience to show the jewelry exactly as it is seen by the human eye.
Such pictures are costly, and any new images will incur the additional cost.
Do You Sell Loose Gemstones?

Final reply after the buyer submits their inquiry:

Here are the examples of some valid concerns you may have and our solutions:
How do you avoid fraud and lack of disclosure?
There is so much fraud in jewelry.
Can you guarantee that all your Alexandrites, Other Gemstones, and Diamonds are 100% natural, earth-mined stones?
You should always demand a certificate from a reputable gemological laboratory when buying gemstones.
GIA is the topmost authority in gemology, and GIA tests each of our jewels. You can see the original GIA certificate in our listings.
You can paste the number of a report into the GIA official website, and you will see the same certificate with the picture of the same jewelry piece.
